I am not trying to do anything fancy but thanks to the help from Paul and Susan Simmons Hill (my cousin and her husband) we are able to get this site up and running.  First and foremost I am making this site a history of my family.  You all know when mom (Lillian Simmons Cowan) passed away she left a whole trunk load of papers and pictures and information on scraps of papers.  I have been trying to piece it together and some of you have seen what I have done so far but some of you are so far away I could not share with you, so this is how I am going to share what my mother left for us with everyone that wants to know what she had. The one thing I have learned in the time I have been working on this, some information is not correct, but I am trying to make the correct changes as we go and as I find a paper trail such as census, land grants, court papers, birth and death certificates, and such.

In the picture section I am uploading pictures that my mother had in her collection. You will find Cowan, Barber, Simmons, Freeman, Robinson, Stobaugh, and others as I go.  Paul is helping by trying to find some way that I can upload by family name.

In the family message section you will see I have created different family surnames, so if anyone has information or wants to add to my genealogy program let me know. If you want a ged.com file of what I have I will share that also. 

Before you can post a message you must register with me this way I have some control of who can post.  When you register you will receive an email that will verify your email address and you “must” reply to the email to become authorized to post and YOU MUST BE A FAMILY MEMBER TO POST ANY MESSAGES.
